All of us are. Our minds are tuned to compare us to the "ideal version" in our heads. We constantly beat ourselves over "What will people think?".

Significant liberation comes when you start accepting yourself for who you're. And stop benchmarking yourself to external validation.

About Me

I’m Praveen Ramesh, but I usually go by the name Jammy. I live in India and work as marketer in a startup!

The Blog

On this blog, I want to share atomic thoughts from books I read, and things I learn. Every post centres on just one topic/theme/idea. And as much as possible I try and keep them to less than 200 words.

Follow Along

You can follow me on Youtube Journey where I review non-fiction books, productivity (Duh!), habits and everything in between. In case you wanted to put a face to the name, this is me. And thank you for stopping by :).

What are the other approaches we haven’t explored?

If the goal is to explore all approaches or options, great.

But if the goal is to get started, and get the job done- it’s important to get started with things you currently know. Leave room for improvement. Be cognisant that you will optimise as you discover new things.

To get things done, it’s better to ignore the unavailable options.

I make 2 videos a week on Youtube. I predominantly speak about non-fiction books, productivity, habits and things that are helping me live a better life!

If you want in on my journey, make sure to check out (and subscribe) my channel here! Keep reading!

What’s the project you start working on now? Of the 100 ideas running in your mind, which one should take priority?

A lot of people say

Do what you like. That will keep you motivated and happy.

Here’s the problem with this advice- I like too many things. Applying this principle left me more confused than I initially began.

Here’s an alternate approach

What do you hate NOT doing?

Say you were held captive for 100 days with no access to the outside world. When you come back,

  1. What would you have missed the most doing?

  2. Who would you miss the most?

Spend time doing those things. Spend time with those people.

This question helps me clarify a lot of things. I always think.
